Auto-Destruction

This week I worked with a group to create Auto destructive art. The collaborative process in my group was very easy and pain free. Within our group when would come up with an idea  would run with it. We add a lot to the other idea but rarely would an idea not be included . As a collaborative process it was a melting pot of our ideas and it worked really well.

My auto-destructive was intended to show case the process of creation and but mainly the destruction that Earth under goes every day. Although the project I was a part of was on a smaller scale due to no budget and no time. unlike my craft this project was unplanned and almost random. Auto-destructive art has a simple statement on society as a whole. Creating art that cannot be bought is a statement against capitalism and focuses on the fact that art should be for everyone.

ArtSTEM and Auto-Destructive blend in a very unique way. Some pieces can be complex and incorporate engineering of all types. One piece can literally break it self apart before your eyes while other pieces can years to destroy themselves.

What I took a way from the class actually helped in my design class. For my last design I had trouble thinking about it in a new way, the auto destructive art helped me to not take the pieces to seriously and there for look at the immediate aesthetic value over just improvement of my physical craft.

This Blog will explode in 100 years.
